Disaster Recovery

A game plan to eliminate costly downtime  in the case of server failure.  Disaster recovery essentially is the creation of policies and the required hardware/software to establish business continuity. One never wants to stop and consider what would happen if there business was totally shut-down for a period of time.  It could be a natural disaster, be it a flood, a blizzard, or even severe thunderstorms with lightning strikes that literally take down hardware entirely.

Quite frankly, it could be as spilling coffee or your server. The point being we never know what might cause system downtime , but the statistics clearly show that not being prepared is at a minimum costly and at the most it could literally put you out of business.

Our Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity solutions provide our customers with the ability to quickly recover from a disaster and/or unexpected event and resume or continue operation.

The primary consideration for disaster recovery is to establish your recovery time objective (RTO).  This technical term is the maximum amount of time your systems can be out of commission – from  when a disruption  occurs to the moment your system is available again.   Of course, the faster the recovery the more costs are involved to reach that objective.

Here are some of the main features of our disaster recovery offerings:

  • Rapid recovery from bare metal, to dissimilar hardware or to and from virtual environments.
  • Centralized backup administration from a management console provided tremendous functionality.
